Hey! Welcome to the farmhouse!
My husband, Ben, and I built our forever home in 2013 . . . and 2014 . . . and let’s be real, 2015. We built this place ourselves, with much help from my father-in-law. Ben happens to be a contractor for his day job, so the poor guy didn’t get a breather for quite some time! We worked every single evening and weekend for what felt like forever. But, we had this dream in our minds and it was that dream that kept us going.
While we were building our home, I spent my days homeschooling the kids and preparing food that could be easily transported to the new house every night. (I still hate packing food to this day because of that time in my life!)
During those years of waiting to move in, I started my first real garden, which admittedly was a pretty epic fail. We added chickens long before we moved in and our homesteading dream kept growing bigger and bigger.
Today we are grateful for This Ohio Farmhouse, where we are raising and homeschooling our six children, growing loads of our own food, and being intentional about learning something old. This farmhouse is filled to overflowing with love for one another and to the Lord for providing it all.
We invite you to pull up a seat and share the journey with us.
Much love to you all,
Jenna
